Sometimes it feels like humankind is something that I am not part of. There are people that everyone else seems to be, at best, indifferent in their affinity for them, whereas I have a lot of time for them. There are a few people that might fit into this category. Sometimes I wonder whether I have missed something, whether these people have done something to warrant this. Perhaps there is something that all these other people have not told me. Perhaps I fall into the former category.
My beauty (deeply hidden) is that I can find a way to relate to everyone, somehow – a bit like the Queen I suppose. I can seemingly find a level at which I can communicate to everyone. Perhaps this is something everyone has, but I cherish this ability. Indeed perhaps this is the reason I can lend for my love for all types of music.
Anyway, enough of “the mind stuff”. I think it is time for some of my pet hates. Seeing some of the adverts for Grumpy Old Men, which is on BBC1 at some point, has got me in a bitchy mood. What really annoys me at the moment is car adverts. Not all car adverts, I must say. I can only think of one specific example at this time: the Mazda MX-5. You will see that this car, being shown in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is a left hand drive. We do not drive left hand cars, for the most part, and indeed on these shores you will not sell them. So don’t fob us off with the same advert you flash to the rest of the world displaying a vehicle that only the rest of the world can enjoy. Mirroring the images might be a suitably cheap solution. Rant over.
