The SDC results were announced yesterday, and I managed a point with one of the judges for one of my designs! Not the best of results, but then again it wasn’t the worst of results.
I was a little sad for CITYscape, which failed to score with the judges, and I felt that was my best chance. I think the problem was that a part of the design failed on the live preview, which was extremely annoying, but that’s life I guess. And the point is, I’ve learnt from the competition, and I’ve corrected that mistake, and released Chocolate Vanilla for Sandbox, so onwards and upwards!
But for now, I’m taking a break… my right wrist is beginning to click again.
certainly not pointless, both your designs are good, and i’m sure they’ll be useful to someone.sorry to hear about your wrist.
I really quite like this design, CITYscape — as much as I dislike Arial.
I see now that submitting multiple designs kind of makes you compete against yourself. Heh. But this design has nice touches,
if you know what I mean.
@Adam: Thanks for your encouragement, and the wrist should be fine – I’ve given him a day off!@Scott: I’m going to ditch Arial soon. I don’t hate it as much as Times New Roman… And Comic Sans… they really have been overkilled!
I shall probably move towards Calibri… which is nice now, but being one of the default fonts in MS Office 2007, it will probably become the next Arial.
Calibri is nice — a bit small, but much better than Arial — and especially love Consolas. Ask Adam. He has his own C– font favorite.
