HIV/AIDS

I am quite passionate when it comes to fighting the spread HIV/AIDS. Some have asked why. It’s a question that’s easily answered. If we ignore it, it will become much more our problem. The thing is, most of us won’t have had the plight of others on our minds, and HIV hasn’t touched much of us, certainly not as much as those in other parts of the world. But while we are conscious that it’s there and it’s around, it doesn’t worry the majority of us until it gets uncomfortably close, and it’s at that point we start to fear it.

But fearing HIV/AIDS is wrong. HIV, as a virus, is rather difficult to contract. The ways in which you can obtain HIV, however, can be ruled out without too much inconvenience. It seems simple enough - perhaps I’m over generalising - but such little effort will make you and others safe. So rather than fearing HIV/AIDS, we should respect it, acknowledge it, and bloody do something about it!

I don’t blame you for knowing perhaps less than you should about HIV/AIDS - you have to look for it to find reliable and useful information. So I’ve done that for you. Please visit the links below.

Stay safe!
