Fathers’ Day

Fathers’ Day can be a bit of a depressing time for me. What do I celebrate? I suppose I should be thankful for having a dad at all - after all, he offers his guidance (occasionally) just like any other. It’s just that I feel I have lost out on something that at least every boy - if not every child - should have as they grow up.

As I progressed through my teenage years, he went further and further away. The result is that he knows nothing about me - nor do I know much about him. As such the advice has evaporated and judgment has set in.

This is starting to become a moan now about my childhood, so I shall stop now! And I hope everyone else has an enjoyable day!

Your mum must have gone through no less pain than you do. Don’t forget to tell her how much you love her! And get married then to get yourself someone to say Happy Father’s Day. Happy everyday (just a dream though, I know)!

    And you’re back? Yay!
