National AUT Pay Dispute
On Monday the national employers organisation made a final offer of 12.6% over 3 years. Despite being a significant improvement over the previous offer, the AUT/NATFHE are refusing to put the offer to their members, or to suspend their industrial action. It now seems certain that there will be widespread damage within the HE sector generally. A press release from UCEA is available here.
Bastards! At least put it to the members - I’d like to think that at least they are reasonable.
